Beacon Hill Resident Designs Urban Art Exhibit

Beacon Hill resident and Emerson College student Devynne Launcher (BFA '13) is the exhibition designer of an upcoming exhibit at the New Art Center in Newton, From the City to the World.

Launcher feels well prepared for her task. She says, "My Emerson design classes and design work on student projects have prepared me for the professional world, and I feel confident in applying my skills to an exhibition of this scale."

The 1800-square foot exhibit explores city life through visual art, video and creative writing. The exhibit shows April 1 through May 10, 2013. An opening reception that is free and open to the public takes place Friday, April 5 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Gallery hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday, 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Admission is free.
