Local Figure Skaters Conduct Frog Pond Master Class for Students, Kick Off One Year Countdown to 2014 Nationals Competition
Returning home from the 2013 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Omaha, members of The Skating Club of Boston (SCOB) will conduct a master class for local public school students on the Frog Pond.
ABC’s “Skating with the Stars” winner Fred Palascak, who helps run the SCOB’s Skating in the Schools program which introduces local students to figure skating at the iconic Frog Pond, will join the skaters on the ice.
The occasion kicks off the one-year countdown to the 2014 U.S. Prudential Figure Skating Championships, which will be held next January at the TD Garden. The 2014 Championships will be hosted by The Skating Club of Boston, which also operates the Frog Pond.
Returning competitors from SCOB will be available for interviews before and after the event.
