Best of Patch Readers' Choice: Best Beacon Hill 'Staycation'
How do you take a mini-vacation without leaving town?
Memorial Day, at the end of the month, marks the unofficial start of vacation season. But time and budgets are tight, so some in town might choose to have fun outings in the area. And one of the great things about Beacon Hill is that you don't have to go far to have something interesting or fun to do.
So, we want to know: What's your favorite Beacon Hill "staycation?"
Here are a couple that we thought of. If we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:
- African Meeting House
- Charles River Esplanade
- Freedom Trail (including the USS Constitution, King's Chapel and more)
- Community Boating
- John Jeffries House
- West End Museum
- Otis House
- Congregational Library
- Nichols House Museum
- The Boston Athenæum
- Historic New England
- Picnic on the Boston Common
- A swan boat ride at Boston Public Garden
Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Be a total tourist... Ride the ducks! Picnic in the Commons! Ride the Swan Boats! Take in a baseball game at Fenway! :-)
