Floating Body at Rowes Wharf Pulled By Rescue Swimmers
Boston Fire Department reports that rescuers have pulled a body from the water at the Congress St. Bridge.
The Boston Fire Department is reporting that a body floating in the water at Congress St. Bridge was recovered by rescue swimmers at around 10:30 a.m. The body was taken to the dock where it will be looked at by a medical examiner.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit, the Boston Fire Dive Team, Massport Fireboat and Boston EMS were all on the scene at Rowes Wharf after a witness reported seeing a body floating in the water there at around 9:30 a.m.
The body, drifting in swift current, floated under the North Ave. Bridge and then under the Moakley Bridge before swimmers finally pulled it out of the water underneath the Congress St. Bridge, according to Boston Fire Department.
Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating, said the Boston Police Department.
