Five Things: MGH Museum Ribbon-Cutting Today

1. Mayor Thomas Menino will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at 11 a.m. to celebrate the opening of the Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital, at North Grove and Cambridge streets. The museum will open to the public on April 17.

2. Tom Clemens, chairman of the Beacon Hill Civic Association's Zoning and Licensing Committee, reported at the board of directors meeting Monday night that there is a new possibility that Charles Street Market would stay at its current location and that its owner, Tracy Hollander, may seek permission to scoop and serve ice cream, and enhanced cooking facilities that will require additional ventiliation. More as it develops.

3. A clarification: Beacon Hill Patch that street sweeping for Beacon Hill had been extended for two months, "through December of this year and resume in March of next." However, sweeping will go to December, not through the month, and resume in March.
