1. BHCA Meeting: Today is Columbus Day, so the Beacon Hill Civic Association's normally scheduled monthly meeting of the board of directors has been pushed to tomorrow at 7 p.m. The association's offices will also be closed today. 

2. What's Open: Similarly, most government offices will be closed today because of the holiday. Here's a handy list of what else is open and closed. 

 3. MFA Open: The Museum of Fine Arts' Fall Open House is today from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. General admission is free.
