3. This afternoon the Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro will be serving crepes from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in honor of la Chandaleur, a French holiday honoring the end of the Christmas season. Guests can choose indulge in savory options including lardons, caramelized onions and gruyere, or fresh ricotta and wild mushroom, both served with a side of a green salad for $12. For something sweet, the Bistro will be offering a choice of baked apple, caramel or lemon cream crepes for $8 each. Call 617-723-7575 for reservations.

4. On Thursday. Feb. 9, Ben Sears and Brad Conner will be performing songs from the American Songbook at the Hampshire House, from 6 p.m. to 8 pm. as part of "A Musical Feast on Beacon Hill," hosted by Beacon Hill Seminars, the Beacon Hill Civic Association and Beacon Hill Village. 5. At this rate, we’re not going to have winter. Weather.com predicts highs in the low 40s today, with a low chance or rain, cloudy skies and a bit of wind.
