Five Things to Know Today, Feb. 21

Koo de Kir still open; the Hampshire House celebrates 45 years; Caswell's is looking for part-time help; adopt a terrier; and another mild day.

1. Koo de Kir, the business many knew as a home furnishings store at the corner of Chestnut and River streets, has not closed as much as it has transformed. Check back with Beacon Hill Patch later today for the full story.

2. The monthly senior dinner at the Hampshire House is tonight at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call the Hampshire House at 617-227-9600.

3. The Caswell Company, an art gallery and framery, is looking for part-time help. If you are interested, apply at the 31 Charles St. store.

4. Want a four-legged companion? Look no further than King Jeff, a happy, energetic and smart terrier who loves to run, play with other dogs and cuddle up on the couch.

5. More springlike weather. Expect a high near 50 degrees with slight winds under partly cloudy skies.
