How Much Snow Will Beacon Hill Get?
After days of wildly different predictions, the area's forecast is beginning to take shape.
All the experts agree: It’s going to snow in Boston overnight. But how much and when the snow will become rain seems to be up in the air. Depending on whose map you used over the weekend, Boston was in for between 2 to 6 inches of snow before it's all said and done Tuesday night.
By Monday morning, however, all of the local news broadcasts started to fall in line on the same theme: Snow will begin late night Monday and dump 2 to 6 inches in the city before it ultimately turns to rain at some point on Tuesday. Here’s a look at the forecasts from the different local meteorologists. All these totals were updated Monday morning:
WHDH (7 News): 2-4 inches
WLVI (NewsCenter 5): 3-6 inches
WBZ (CBS Local): 4-8 inches
WFXT (MyFox Boston): Up to 6 inches
Boston.com Weather Wisdom blog: 3-5 inches
