To celebrate the doubling of its 34 Charles St. store, J. McLaughlin will donate 15 percent of all purchases made June 12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to the Massachusetts Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (MSPCA). 

After renovating the former Koo de Kir retail space on Chestnut Street, J. McLaughlin moved its store there May 1 while it redecorated the Charles Street space. The work involved connecting and redesigning the two spaces. 

J. McLaughlin, a New York-based chain with 55 stores nationwide, reopened the expanded store Friday.
