After months of renovating a former lawyer's office at 150 Charles St., JP Licks opened at 4 p.m. Monday.

In celebration of their opening, the Jamaica Plain-based ice cream shop and coffee roaster is offering its Beacon Hill customers a free small coffee with the purchase of any baked good.

In addition to their regular flavors, JP Licks offers special flavors of the month. For May, they are cow trax, strawberry cheesecake and chocolate-covered pretzels.
