My Warm Weather Haiku (Post Yours!)

This is my ode to the weirdly balmy weather. Tell me yours!

December starts tomorrow but I still haven't taken my warm coat from the closet. In fact, I can't remember a November this warm. It turns out, there's a reason for that: there hasn't been a late fall this warm on record in Massachusetts.

Although I've been enjoying walking around without the swaddling normally necessary this time of year, I have to admit being a bit disturbed by the weird warmth.

The weather has me in a strange, inspired state of mind, perhaps best expressed in haiku.

A haiku is a Japanese poetic form consisting of three lines of five, seven and five syllables. But we're not so strict. I've written mine below; go ahead and share yours with us!

Winter closing in

Frost-tinged trees, cold-kissed noses

I play in sunbeams

Ooh, that was fun! How about another?

Late November sun

Your rays warm, unsettle me

Oh you're so freaky

Movember moustache
Wilting in November heat
Itches wicked bad

Climate change is fake?
Firing up my gas guzzler.
Ignorance is bliss.

Crepuscular rays
Slither through barren branches
Belie winter’s march

Very nice Dann!! Here's mine (not so nice):
All the leaves are brown
And the sky is sunny, blue
Time for a new song
