PHOTOS: Hundreds Celebrate the Season at the Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll

Strollers enjoyed sales, songs and horse-drawn carriage rides on a relatively warm night.

Unlike strolls of recent years that have left frigid fingers clinging to their cups of complimentary hot cocoas, Thursday night's event enjoyed mild temperatures that brought out a large crowd.

Though always popular, this year's Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll seemed to bring out even more neighbors who popped into the shops along Charles Street, sat on Santa's lap and took in the caroling.

The Clydesdales were back this year, too, shuttling revelers up and down Charles Street, which was closed to traffic.
