Police: Armed Robbery on Hancock Street

Police news from Beacon Hill, Nov. 16-17.

 

A woman who was walking on Beacon Hill with her husband Saturday night was the victim of an armed robbery, police say.

According to police reports, a man approached the couple around 11:50 p.m. as they were walking on Hancock Street. He grabbed her purse and a struggle ensued. He said he had a knife but didn't show it. The man fled with the purse toward Derne Street. 

Friday, Nov. 16

  • At 6:23 p.m. police responded to 121 Charles St. for a report of larceny in a building, $200 or more. According to police reports, a man entered the store, stole a diamond and platinum ring from a display cabinet and fled on foot.
  • Police responded to Charles Street for a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle, $200 or more. 

Saturday, Nov. 17

  • Police responded to 91 Beacon St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident.
  • Police responded to 26 Charles St. for a report of larceny from a motor vehicle, $200 or more. 
  • Police responded to 20 Charles St. for a report of larceny from a motor vehicle, $50 to $199.
  • Police responded to 87 Beacon St. for a report of larceny, $200 or more. 
  • Police responded to Charles Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident resulting in personal injury.
