Police: Man's Car Robbed as He Pops in to a Bank

Police news from Beacon Hill April 9-12.

A man's car was broken into in the few moments he stepped into a bank Wednesday. The man had parked his car at 65 Beacon St. at 1:45 p.m. and when he returned 15 minutes later, his car's left rear door had been forced open and his courier bag, wallet and post office keys were stolen. 

Monday, April 9

  • At 9:05 a.m. police responded to Cambridge Street for a report of an injured bicyclist. No motor vehicle was involved.
  • At 11:27 a.m. police responded to a report of larceny at 100 Cambridge St. Police arrested Mark A. Broderick, of Boston, on a charge of larceny by shoplifting, under $50.
  • At 4:52 a.m. police responded to 181 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, under $50.
  • At 9 p.m. police responded to Beacon and Park streets for a report of a demonstration or riot. The group disbanded in an orderly fashion, according to police reports.
