Video: Skating Competition at the Frog Pond
The first annual Mayor's Cup Skating Competition comes to Beacon Hill.
On Saturday morning, students from The Skating Club of Boston came to the Frog Pond for the inaugural Mayor's Cup Skating Competition. By performing various figure skating techniques from their classes, the students compete for the title of "Boston's Best." This year, that title was awarded to Team Boylston.
Major highlights of the event included a performance from Frog Pond Skating School instructors Melanie Lambert and Fred Palascak, winner of ABC's "Skating with the Stars" with his partner, Rebecca Budig. The Team Excel Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team also made an appearance.
