Elizabeth Warren picked up two key endorsements Sunday, with editorial boards at the Boston Globe and MetroWest Daily News throwing their support behind the democratic challenger to Republican Senator Scott Brown.

"Warren has strong opinions and firm principles, but her support for filibuster reform and her record on regulatory reform indicate she is going to the Senate to get things done, not just strike political poses. She will be an important vote in the short-term and a vital voice in the nation’s debate for years to come," wrote the Daily News editorial board.

The Globe, meanwhile, dinged Brown for what they say was dithering on major issues until the matter was settled.

"As a political moderate, Brown has major clout in a polarized Senate — but Massachusetts has too little to show for it.  The problem is less with Brown’s political skills, which are obvious, or his centrist values, than in his conception of the job. He often seems to view being a senator as an exercise in political positioning," wrote the Globe.

As the race enters its final stage, Brown spent his week collecting endorsements of his own, picking up nods from the Boston Herald, Cape Cod Time and Quincy Patriot Ledger.
