The feedback period on Boston Public Schools new school choice proposals closes on Saturday. Come hear about the plans from a BPS representative, ask questions, and voice your opinion at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at 74 Joy Street, Beacon Hill.

There are just four community meetings left in this series. This one was specifically requested for downtown parents, who have no neighborhood school – but all Boston parents are welcome. For those who find evening meetings more of a child care challenge, this is the only weekday, daytime opportunity left, before the comment period ends and this major effort to improve school choice and quality moves on to the next stage.  

You may not see this meeting posted on the BPS website, but it is a public forum held at the shared offices of the Beacon Hill Civic Association.

If you can't attend, know that there are other sources and opinions on this process. City Councilor At-Large John Connolly, along with four state senators and City Councilor Matt O'Malley, has written an alternate plan and is asking for signatures on a petition:
