Scampo chef extraordinaires Lydia Shire and Simon Restrepo invite you for an exclusive experience of cooking and fun as they reveal how to impress with the ultimate holiday feast. Begin the evening at Scampo’s intimate Mozzarella Bar where Lydia and Simon will demonstrate how to craft three courses for your holiday table, while you enjoy light bites and a specialty cocktail. Afterwards, take pleasure in the meal you just learned to create at a community table, with a rare chance to debrief with Lydia table-side as she answers follow up questions and tells her (in)famous stories! Thursday, November 15, 2012, 5:30-8:30 p.m. $150 per person includes cooking class with cocktail and prix fixe dinner (food only). More About Scampo at the Liberty Hotel
Scampo is a Mediterranean and Italian-inspired gourmet restaurant on the ground floor of the Liberty Hotel. Its unique menu includes grilled cuttlefish, sherried chanterelle mushrooms, beet ravioli with poppy seeds, and whole suckling pig and baby lamb. Its mozzarella bar allows customers to taste four different kinds of the cheese (including the classic Italian mozzarella di bufala). The wine list is no slouch either, offering vino by color, region, and type, including more than 10 Barolos and seven varieties of Brunello di Montalcino.
