More About Boston Public Library - West End Branch
The West End library is a bustling, light-filled branch of the Boston Public Library. While its on-site collection of about 50,000 books makes it one of the smaller locations, it is the third busiest branch in the 27-branch system. But patrons also have access to materials in all Boston Public Library branches, including the 7 million titles stocked at the Central Library in Copley Square. Log online to have the book you're looking for sent to the West End branch or ask a librarian.
The library has 10 public computers, an impressive DVD collection, free WiFi and a private meeting room. Preschool story time is hosted every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and toddler story time is hosted every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
The West End Branch of the Boston Public Library was established in 1894 and moved into its current building on Cambridge Street in 1968.
