Seeking Volunteer Youth Soccer Coaches

Hill House is seeking Volunteer Youth Soccer Coaches who enjoy working with children and have a basic knowledge of soccer. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for college students looking to get involved.

At Hill House, we believe that kids deserve the space to run, play, learn and grow. That is why we are proud to be the backyard in the city for over 2,000 families by offering safe, high quality programs, events and outreach activities that enrich the lives of families living in Boston. Hill House relies on volunteer coaches to teach young participants soccer skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love of the game. Over 400 children participate in our In-House Soccer League. Coaches are needed for teams in the following age groups: 6 & Under Coed, 8 & Under Boys, 8 & Under Girls, 10 & Under Boys, 10 & Under Girls, 13 & Under Boys, and 13 & Under Girls. Teams practice on a designated weekday evening and a game every Saturday morning during the ten week season. 

Start Date: September 3rd, 2013
End Date: November 16th, 2013

Practice Schedule:
Under 6 (U6) -- Tuesdays 4:00-5:00 pm
Under 8 (U8) Girls and Under 8 (U8) Boys -- Tuesday 5:15-6:15 pm
Under 10 (U10) Boys and Under 13 (U13) Boys -- Wednesdays 5:15-6:15 pm 
Under 10 (U10) Girls and Under 13 (U13) Girls Thursdays 5:15-6:15 pm 

Game Schedule:
All Games will be played on Saturday mornings. 
Specific game times: TBA

Qualifications and Requirements Coaches must complete CORI and SORI background check forms as required by the state of Massachusetts. Coaches are required to attend a pre-season meeting as well as their team's practices and games during the season. Coaching requires approximately 3-4 hours per week during the season. Coaches should enjoy working with children and have basic knowledge of soccer. All practices and games take place at Teddy Ebersol's Red Sox Fields in Boston along the Charles River and Esplanade.
