Boston Resident Helps Raise over $20K for Boston Marathon

Boston resident Brendan Greally and Somerville resident Chloe Poon have raised over $20,000 and surpassed their $18,000 fundraising goal for the Boston Marathon. All proceeds go to the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, Boston's largest Asian non-profit that serves immigrant families and local children and youth.

Brendan Greally, whose sister-in-law is former BCNC Executive Director Elaine Ng, is the International Project Manager for the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, a quasi-state economic development agency. Brendan immigrated to Boston from Ireland in the 3rd grade. Brendan is a graduate of Boston Latin School, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Suffolk University Law School. He is also the Co-Founder and Vice President of Parkway-in-Motion, a local nonprofit that supports youth in West Roxbury and Roslindale neighborhoods. He is dedicated to giving back to the community which has help shape and mold who he is today. He says “I have witnessed firsthand the good work that BCNC continues to do for the community. It is this good work that inspires me as I train and ultimately hope to finish the 118th Boston Marathon whilst raising funds for BCNC to ensure that the children, youth, and families they serve have the resources and supports they need to achieve greater economic success and social well-being!”
