South Boston SafePlace: Support for Suicide Survivors

The South Boston SafePlace group will be meeting this evening, March 5, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Laboure Center. SafePlace is an open group for people who have lost a loved one to suicide. It provides an atmosphere of acceptance for exploring feelings that are often not understood by others. These meetings are free, on-going, and drop in – there is no registration necessary. Trained volunteers and staff from Samaritans, a statewide suicide prevention organization, facilitate this group. All of the participants are suicide survivors and facilitators have lost someone to suicide as well.

The South Boston SafePlace group meets on the first and third Wednesday of every  month from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Laboure Center (room 200) located at 275 W Broadway, South Boston MA 02127.

For more information about SafePlace and other services offered by Samaritans, please contact the Grief Support Services team at safeplace@samaritanshope.org or 617-536-2460.
