Blizzard Closings in Middletown

The Nor'easter that's expected to dump up to 20 inches across Middletown and Middlesex County has prompted a growing list of closings and cancellations.

  • Kid City Children's Museum will be closed for the rest of the day so we can build snowmen (and women!). 
  • Middletown Area Transit No buses after 1 p.m. Friday. Sat all morning and afternoon services canceled.
  • Amici Italian Grill: We will be closed today. Stay safe everyone.
  • Krust will be closed today and reopening tomorrow at 4. We'll see you Saturday!
  • Gov. Malloy will declare a state of emergency in preparation for the coming blizzard and limited access highways may be subject to closure as early as noon. He's asking all residents to limit nonessential travel.
  • The Greater Middletown Chorale lecture "The Last Ridge" will be rescheduled
  • Alon Nechushtan's jazz show at The Buttonwood Tree is moved to May 4. 
    A parking ban has been issued in the city of Middletown.
  • Honors Night at the Middletown Elks Lodge 771 has been rescheduled to Feb 16. 
  • Parking Ban City of Middletown: NOON
  • It's Only Natural Market: We will be closing early due to the storm and the parking ban (noon) 
  • It's Only Natural Restaurant: Closed for today on account of we're having a bad hair day. And because of the blizzard. 
  • Fusion Bakery & Patisserie LLC Closing at noon Friday.
  • Community Health Center: On Friday, February 8th, all CHC sites will close at 1 PM. Sites will remain closed on Saturday.
  • Wesleyan University: Thursday 10:11 p.m.: "We expect Friday classes to meet as scheduled, and we will provide information [Friday] morning about any changes in campus services. Students should move vehicles off city streets and into student lots ... and check email for notices of individual class cancellations from their professors."
  • Russell Library is closed Friday to Sunday.
  • Middletown public and parochial schools are closed Friday.
  • Middlesex Community College is closed.
  • Middlesex YMCA Closed at 1 p.m. Friday and closed all day on Saturday.
    We hope to open for a normal day of operation on Sunday, 
  • The Wesleyan University CFA performance by Gallim Dance on Friday, at 8 p.m. has been canceled.
  • No Middletown meals on wheels Friday.
  • Eli Cannon's Tap Room: open for lunch Friday at 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Get in. Get wings. Get home safe. Reopen on Saturday at 3 p.m. After the clean up. Sorry but we want you and our staff safe. Peace.

I know there is a lot of snow but did the city forget there a little street off camp called highview terrace?

Thats ok, city forgot the congdon,azalea,aspen drive neighborhoods,basswood and roads leading to nejako,we have to go to work tomorrow, there are at least a hundred families trying to get out and the town plows roads like brooks road first,cmon mayor,we need to get to work to pay the taxes

Plowing vets park???? Any houses down there??? Many streets in this area unplowed. Just don't get it!!!!!!
