Esplanade to Get 'Light Forest' in October

Display is part of a "as part of a celebration and love of movement" from lucy.

The Charles River Esplanade will be home to the first U.S. "Light Forest" tour running Oct. 3 to 13 with more than 10,000 solar-powered, motion-sensitive LED lights "as part of a celebration and love of movement."

The display will be put on by women's athletic apparel company lucy, which has stores in Dedham, Natick and Chestnut Hill.

According to the company, the lights will react to those who use the Esplanade by walking, running, biking, skating or any other activity.

Top Boston instructors will be holding free daily fitness classes as part of the display, and a full rundown of the events are available here.
