Westbound Lane of Memorial Drive to Close Overnight Starting Monday

Traffic will be detoured using alternate routes of Land Boulevard, according to MassDOT.

The westbound lane of Memorial Drive under the Longfellow Bridge between Boston and Cambridge will be closed overnight on Monday, Feb. 10, through Friday, Feb. 14, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

A single-lane closure will be implemented beginning at 9 p.m. each night during the week with the full-closure set ti begin at 11 p.m. each night. The road will reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. each morning, according to MassDOT.

The closure is meant to assist MassDOT with the ongoing Longfellow Bridge Rehabilitation Project and will accommodate demolition of the bridge span over the westbound side of Memorial Drive.
