North River Outfitter Expands on Charles Street

North River Outfitter opened its second store this year alone on Charles Street, bringing its total number of shops on Beacon Hill to three. 

The new store, in the space formerly occupied by NRO Kids at 111-113 Charles St., features athletic apparel, footwear and some sports equipment. NRO Kids, which itself just opened this March, has been moved to the spot that formerly housed North River Outfitter, at 126 Charles. St., and that shop has moved next door into the space recently vacated by the antiques shop Churchill and White.

The new North River Outfitter will carry more men's shoes, more women's clothing and have a seating area. "It's going to be fantastic," manager Kathleen Godbold said. 

The new store will focus on running and snow sports, and boast a large selection of running shoes, ski wear and tennis and golf apparel.
