Five Things: Does Beacon Hill Need More Recycling Days?

1. Recycling survey from the BHCA: The Beacon Hill Civic Association is interested in residents' experience with trash pick-up and recycling on Beacon Hill. To help the BHCA and the City of Boston determine whether current weekly recycling collection on Fridays is meeting our neighborhood's needs, please take our recycling survey. 

2. Santas in Speedos: The annual 1-mile Santa Speedo Run is this Saturday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Boylston Street. It will start at Lir Tavern, at 903 Boylston St., head down Boylston to Berkeley then up Newbury to Gloucester and back to Lir Tavern. While you're there, check out the Newbury Street Holiday Stroll. 

3. Filming downtown: Those film crews you may have seen near the Boston Common and Public Garden, or along Beacon Street? They are shooting footage for an ABC Family series about reporters called Terminales. 

4. Deck The House: You could win $100,000 for Boston Public Schools, and $500 for your utility bill, just by snapping a photo of your holiday decorations and uploading it here.

5. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly cloudy day with a high near 46 degrees. There's a 30 percent chance of rain.
