Five Things: Hand Bell Concert in the Common

1. Bell concert in the Common: The Back Bay Ringers' will perform a free, one-hour hand bell concert today in the Boston Common from 5 to 6 p.m. The concert is one of four they are performing this holiday season, and is sponsored by The Friends of the Public Garden. See more dates here. 

2. Make-A-Wish Event at the Pru: Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island are hosting an all-day celebration the Prudential Center today to raise awareness and funds to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions in 2013. The event, from 11 to 7 p.m. in the food court, features art activities (noon to 4 p.m.), special appearances and a live concert with Chad Hollister at 5 p.m.

3. Deck The House: You could win $100,000 for Boston Public Schools, and $500 for your utility bill, just by snapping a photo of your holiday decorations and uploading it here.

4. Wine Tasting - What makes a wine tasting extra special? You can find out at today's Extra Special Organic Wine Tasting at Formaggio Kitchen South End (268 Shawmut Ave.) Taste a lineup of some our finest organic and biodynamic wines for the holidays, some exclusive to Formaggio, including beautiful small production red and white Burgundies. 5. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly sunny day with a high near 47 degrees.
