Myrtle Street Homeowners Looking to Take Down Linden Tree for Parking Space

The city will hold a hearing on the matter this Thursday. Written comments need to be received by 5 p.m. today.

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will host a public hearing Thursday to discuss the proposed removal of one public shade tree at 81 Myrtle St., whose owners want to turn their backyard into a parking space. 

The public hearing, held by the Boston Tree Warden, will address an application for removal of a linden tree (measuring 11 inches in diameter at breast height) for a curb cut at the rear of theproperty facing Revere Street. The tree warden may accept or deny the application.

The hearing will be held at 11 a.m. in the 3rd floor Conference Room of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, at 1010 Massachusetts Ave.
