This beloved service of Lessons & Carols features music sung by the Advent Choir, Mark Dwyer, organist and choirmaster; Ross Wood, associate organist and choirmaster. Offerings include music of Palestrina, Britten, Byrd, Howells, and others. The music and readings set a reflective, anticipatory mood for the weeks leading up to Christmas. The service starts at 5:00pm, preceded by an organ prelude recital by Rosalind Mohnsen at 4:30pm. A gala reception follows; all are welcome.
