Calling all Ted Williams baseball fans: hosts Blackstone’s of
Beacon Hill and the Hampshire House invite you to start baseball season off with
a hit by meeting local author Ben Bradlee, Jr. on Monday, March 31st
from 6 to 8pm at the Hampshire House (84 Beacon
Street) for a book signing of his new book, The KID: The Immortal Life of Ted
Williams
.  The evening will
include a talk by Bradlee who will share his insight into baseball legend Ted
Williams.  The
event is free with complimentary hors d’oeuvres
and a cash bar.  Space is limited
so please RSVP to the Hampshire House at catering@hampshirehouse.com

“As we all know at the age of 23, Ted Williams was the
last hitter in baseball to bat over .400 with his .406 average in 1941.  But did you know that 17 years later, after
serving in WWII and Korea, he almost did it again with a .388 average in 1957,”
says Mark Duffield, co-owner of Blackstone’s and an avid baseball fan!  “Boston and baseball go hand-in-hand so we
are thrilled to have Ben Bradlee on our roster of authors this season;” adds
Jennifer Hill, co-owner of Blackstone’s.
