Boston's Swan Boats: A Unique Family Tradition

Join the Jamaica Plain Historical Society for an exclusive look at one of Boston’s treasured  attractions as Lyn Paget shares her family’s story from 1877 to 2014.  Lyn is the 4th generation of her family to operate the Swan Boats in the Boston Public Garden. Started by her great grandfather and carried on by her grandparents and parents, Lyn and her family have preserved the tradition of these unique paddleboats for 136  years.  Inspired by an opera in the late  1800s, the Swan Boat experience has remained unchanged while the world around  them has changed quite significantly.
