Dedication Honoring Steven Greenberg, Vilna Shul

On behalf of the Friends of the Phillips Street Park on Beacon Hill, we would like to invite you to a dedication honoring Steven Greenberg from the Vilna Shul. Steven stepped down as the executive director at the Vilna Shul after 8 years at the post. The Vilna Shul is Boston's Center for Jewish Culture in the heart of Beacon Hill.

Since the renovation of the Phillips Street Play Area (PSPA) in 2009, Steven has been instrumental in helping to grow the park as a family friendly gathering place it is today. He has always opened his doors for us, whether it was to host a PSPA committee meeting, hold an indoor event due to rain, store books for our book fair, or borrow tables at our summer events! We appreciate his kindness and generosity.

The Friends group has purchased and planted a Japanese Maple Tree and will host a formal dedication to Steven on Sunday, September 8th at 5:00pm. Community leaders, neighbors and friends are invited to attend. We will serve light refreshments and host an ice cream social for the kids.

Please join us to thank Steven for all he has done for the Phillips Street Play Area and our community! He will be missed.

Best regards,
Friends of the Phillips Street Play Area
