And the Esther Goes To….HOH Purim Party!

Join HOH as we roll out the Red Carpet for Purim! We’ll read the megillah and then celebrate with a fabulous after-party, complete with DJ. We’ll be handing out our coveted “Esther” awards for best costumes. So come dressed as you would for the Oscars, a character from your favorite movie, or as yourself. (Kind of like John Malkovich in Being John Malkovich.)

Megillah reading starts at 7 and the After Party starts at 8. Arrive by 7:15 and get a free drink ticket. There will be a cash bar so don't forget to bring a valid ID. Tickets are only $10 if you buy before midnight on Wednesday, Feb 20th. ($15 after the 20th and at the door.)

We are also raising money for Yad Chessed, a Boston-based philanthropy that provides assistance to local families in need. Bring cash to the party or see below to donate on-line--we'll thank you at the door with an Oscar-worthy token of our esteem!

Be a Star--Spread the Purim Party with Yad Chessed.
Havurah on the Hill is pitching in to help needy families feel a bit of Purim cheer--and get much needed food supplies. Last year, Yad Chessed helped 493 families at Purim via almost $100,000 collected from 55 Boston-area Jewish organizations. Needy families receive a food voucher to a local grocery store, and the value is based on the total amount collected each year. So give what you can for matanot l'evyonim--gifts to the poor--the ancient practice mentioned in the Book of Esther itself!

To donate, visit Yad Chessed's donation page and be sure to write HAVURAH ON THE HILL on the "Designation" Box. That way we can track our group's generosity!
