Set in the 1960s and based on the 1992 novel of the same name, this romantic film about a housewife, Francesca, (Meryl Streep) and a wandering photographer, Robert (Clint Eastwood) who fall in love over a brief four-day encounter will pull at your heartstrings. Francesca is a lonely italian war-bride with two children to think of and Robert runs into her while searching for covered bridges. The affair has deep implications for the rest of their lives.
