"Meet the Friends" Reception

The Friends of the Public Garden will host a "Meet the Friends" reception  to cap off our Spring Membership Drive. The reception will be held in the Friends office at 69 Beacon Street on Thursday, May 22nd, from 5:30 to 7:30pm.  There will be a brief program and we will have exhibits showing the Friends’ work in the parks. Guests who join the Friends at this reception, or online or via mail, by May 22 will be entered into a drawing to win lunch for two at the Four Seasons. Membership starts at only $25 and you can join at www.friendsofthepublicgarden.org.

A membership organization open to all, the Friends was founded in 1970 by concerned citizens. We work closely with the Boston Parks Department to protect and enhance Boston’s three historic parks: the Boston Common, the Public Garden, and the Commonwealth Avenue Mall. For four decades, the Friends has funded the expert care of trees and plantings and the maintenance and restoration of sculptures and fountains, and we have been staunch advocates to protect the parks from misuse and encroachment.  The support of our members makes this work possible.

Space is limited at the reception so an RSVP is required via info@friendsofthepublicgarden.org   or by calling (617)723-8144.
