Mobile Sukkah with Live Tracker

Chabad of Downtown Boston, Back Bay and Beacon Hill, a Jewish organization serving Boston proper, will be utilizing a Mobile Sukkah (on wheels) for Sukkot (the Harvest Festival). The Mobile Sukkah will be visiting Post Office Square, Newbury Street/Boylston St., and Faneuil Hall, businesses and homes during the course of the week, from Sunday afternoon, Sep 22nd, through Wed. afternoon Sep 25th.

Jewish people traditionally spend time during the holiday in a gazebo-like structure called a Sukkah. The Sukkah is a symbol of unity, and serves as a reminder of the shelter that G-d provided the Jewish people with during their forty years of wandering through the desert after their exodus from Egypt.

This year, the Chabad center has equipped the mobile Sukkah with enhanced technological features, including “the Sukkah Mobile Tracker”, a live tracker of where the Sukkah mobile’s location is at any given moment. In addition, the “e-Hail” apparatus will enable a celebrant to “hail” the mobile Sukkah to their home or office.
