The King's Chapel Concert Series welcomes the by-popular-demand return of the New England Spiritual Ensemble as the opening concert in this year's program.
Join us on Sunday, September 29 at 5 PM for a program of spirit-lifting joy and hope and soulful sorrow and mourning by this first-class group of singers. New England Spiritual Ensemble members include Christina DeVaughn and Joei Marshall Perry, soprano; Cynthia Harmon and Myran Parker-Brass, alto; Orlando Lightfoot and Davron S. Monroe, tenor; David C. Howse, baritone; Milton Wright and Daniel Perry, bass. Now celebrating their 20th anniversary season, their program will highlight traditional and contemporary spirituals in arrangememts by Moses Hogan, William C. Dawson and others.
The concert begins at 5 PM, doors to King's Chapel, 58 Tremont Street in downtown Boston, open at 4:30 PM. Admission is by suggested donation of $15, $10 for students and seniors.
