New Endorsements Buoy Surging Richie Campaign

A prominent group of Boston's leading black ministers, as well as several current and former state legislators and former Lt. Governor Evelyn Murphy are among those endorsing surging Boston mayoral candidate Charlotte Golar Richie ahead of Tuesday's primary election.
Additional support has come from groups as diverse as prominent local businessmen, well known Harvard professor Charles Ogletree, activist Gloria Steinem and actor Louis Gossett Jr., who has appeared in televised ads with the candidate.
Though he stopped short of a formal endorsement for any candidate, even current Boston mayor Thomas Menino quipped that Richie's election, if it were to happen, would make "national news."
