REP. SANCHEZ AND CHELSEA COMMUNITY LEADERS ENDORSE AVELLANEDA FOR STATE REP

On Thursday evening, State Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez and Chelsea community activists Juan Vega and Gladys Vega endorsed Roy Avellaneda to fill the vacant 2nd Suffolk District Seat.  A capacity crowd filled Tito’s Bakery, the Avellaneda family business in Chelsea for over 20 years, and spilled onto the sidewalks of Broadway.

“As a son of immigrant parents, Roy is the most progressive candidate on immigration issues and for issues affecting the working families of the 2nd Suffolk district,” said Rep. Sanchez (D-Jamaica Plain).  “He supports the adoption of the Dream Act and an increase in the minimum wage - just to name a few.  He will be a great asset to the district in the Massachusetts Legislature.”
