Police: Suffolk Student Alerts Police to Attempted Grove Street Break-in

Police news from Beacon Hill, Sept. 24-27.

A Suffolk student reported to police Wednesday around noon that he had heard banging near 41 Grove St. and saw two men leave the area. Police responded and found damage around the home's front door frame, consistent with an attempted break-in. Police searched the area but could not find the men the student described.

  • At 2:15 p.m. police responded to 100 Cambridge St. for a report of assault and battery.

  • At 1:20 p.m. police responded to 100 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, under $50. 
  • At 7 p.m. police responded to 37 Bowdoin St. for a report of assault and battery.
