Police: Man Asks for Dollar, Then All of Victim's Money

Police news from on and around Beacon Hill, Oct. 9 to 11.

A man reported to police that while he was sitting on the stairs at Government Center Wednesday around 11:10 p.m. a man came up to him and asked for a dollar. After the first man gave the second one a dollar, the second one told him to hand over all his money. The first man ran away and called police.

  • At 7 p.m. police responded to 5 Grove St. for a report of larceny of motor vehicle plates. 

Thursday, Oct. 11

  • At 10:30 a.m. police responded to Charles Street for a report of larceny from a vehicle, $200 or more. 
  • At 2:35 p.m. police responded to Charles Street for a report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident that caused property damage.
