Police: Man Pushes Postal Worker on Hill, Steals Cell Phone

Police news from Beacon Hill, Aug. 14-16.

A postal worker was robbed while on the job on Beacon Hill Wednesday. At 5:34 p.m. police responded to 21 Bowdoin St. for a report of alarceny in progress. The victim, a postal worker, said that while she was on her rounds she was approached by a tall young man who pushed her in the chest and grabbed her iPhone. Police searched the area to no avail. 

Tuesday, Aug. 14

  • At 10:12 a.m. police responded to 100 Cambridge St. and arrested Susan Martinez, of Chelsea, on a charge of larceny by shoplifting, $50 to $199.

  • At 3:12 p.m. police responded to 100 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny by shoplifting, $50 to $100.
  • At 5:32 p.m. police responded to Cambridge Street for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicycle. 
  • At 6:45 p.m. police responded to Charles Street South and arrested Jessica Slocomb of Cambridge on a charge of possesion of a class C drug with the intent to distribute it. 
  • At 8:17 p.m. police responded to 35 S. Russell St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving property damage. 

Thursday, Aug. 16

  • At 6:30 a.m. police responded to 26 Chestnut St. for a report of a breaking and entering without force into a residence during the daytime.
  • At 11:25 a.m. police responded to 327 Cambridge St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving property damage.
