Police: Woman Robbed Near Beacon Hill ATM

Police news from Beacon Hill, Sept. 14 to 16.

A woman reported to police that after she left the Bank of America ATM next to Whole Foods on Cambridge Street Saturday around 9 p.m. she was approached by a man who asked for her wallet. When she refused the man said he would hurt her, so she handed over her purse, according to police reports. The man was described as a white male, about 35 years old, 5'7", medium build, wearing a gray hoodie and having brown facial hair. Police searched the area but could not find him. 

Friday, Sept. 14

  • At 6 p.m. police responded to 76 Charles St. for a report of larceny from a motor vehicle, $200 and more.
  • At 9:14 p.m. police responded to 42 Garden St. for a report of breaking and entering into a residence by force during the day. According to police reports, the resident reported to police that when he returned home he discovered his front door wide open and several pieces of electronic equipment missing. Police reported major damage to the front door and frame.

  • At 2:30 a.m. police responded to 215 Charles St. for a report of larceny in a building, $250 or more. 
  • At 9 p.m. police responded to 165 Cambridge St. for a report of unarmed robbery. 

Sunday, Sept. 16

  • At 2:30 a.m. police responded to Charles Street for a report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident that caused property damage. 
  • At 2:28 a.m. police responded to 71 Beacon St. for a report of a motor vehicle accident that resulted in personal injury. 
  • At 1:30 p.m. police responded to 150 Mt. Vernon St. for a report of larceny, $200 or more.
