Cycle Track Coming Around Public Garden?

Boston.com reported on the possibility after a meeting this week.

Boston.com reported on a Wednesday night meeting at the Mount Vernon Street firehouse regarding the possibility of a two-way cycle track around Boston's historic Public Garden.

According to Boston.com, the two options discussed included one with pavement markings and signage around the outside of the garden, while another would involve construction but wouldn't impact the sidewalk bricks.

Many cycling enthusiasts and advocates turned out to the meeting to voice their approval of the proposals from Boston Bikes, an initiative of Mayor Thomas Menino to make the city more cycling-friendly.
