Single at a Sports Bar: For the Anti-Cupids

Whether you’re spending February 14th with your sweetie, your pal, or surrounded by strangers- there is a lot to be said for celebrating the Hallmark Holiday at a bar. Quite possibly because it’s a great place (if done right) to meet a new someone, or it’s a space to dance the night away with your friends and embrace your independence. Specifically, we’re here to help the singles, the anti-cupids and the cynics get through this love-struck day. Here’s a Guide for The Solo’s at Stadium…

The Right Crowd

If you’re battling the holiday without a significant other, the crowd you run with could make or break your big plans for the evening. Don’t they say you can learn a lot about someone by the company they keep? In this case- signs point to yes. Be sure to stick with friends who are confident in their relationship status, not the president of the lonely hearts club. Going out single on this night should be filled with opportunity, not tears. Grab a group of friends that you know are going to make you thank god you’re single- not wish you stayed in with a movie and a large pizza!

The right crowd also has much to do with place you decide to go. At Stadium- you’ve got yourself a number of different options depending on which way your mood swings. Perhaps you’d rather sit at the bar with a few of your friends and talk about anything other than love. Although we can’t promise peace and quiet on a Friday night- there are plenty of places to take a seat and camp out for a while. Or- if you’re looking to find love, we’re sure cupid could work his magic on the dance floor or somewhere surrounding our busy bar tops. The opportunities are endless!

Drunk on Love, or just drunk

What better way to take on single with style then to sip on a few V-day inspired cocktails? All 3 Stadium locations have created an infused love potion that will be sure to steer your Valentine’s day into the right direction or even possibly into the arms of Mr. Right, Mr. Wrong, or Mr. Right now. Make sure you order the Supernova- we promise, it’s out of this world.

Stadium’s Supernova:

1oz 360 Double Chocolate Vodka

3 oz Champagne

1 oz Cranberry Juice

Garnish with a Cherry

Serve in a Champagne Flute

The After Math

If you’d rather keep your legs moving and you’re heart racing after the loneliness wears off- then perhaps a pub crawl with a sea of strangers and a few of your closest friends could do the trick. Cupid does his fair share of missing his aim so Stadium’s South Boston and State Street locations are sure to cure your heart hang over with another day of drinks, friends and the possibility of meeting your match! Make sure you sign up for either the Valentine Love Crawl on 2/15 as you stop into Stadium Faneuil Hall for a Beirut tourney or the 2014 Meet You’re Future Ex Barcrawl on 2/15 and register at Stadium South Boston!
