Planning to catch up on movies this summer? Whether you're relaxing in an air-conditioned theater, watching an outdoor summer movie series in the park, or going the old-fashioned route and pulling up at a drive-in — here's a list of free outdoor movie screenings you won't want to miss this summer. 

Boston Harbor Hotel shows classic films every Fridaystarting at dusk.

Several DCR parks (including the Hatch Shell) and beaches have free, family-friendly movie events through the summer.

Out in Somerville, the free outdoor movie schedule features several '90s favorites.

If you want an authentic Drive-In movie experience, you'll have to it the highway. The closest Drive-In to Boston is the Mendon Twin. The nightly double-features start around 8:40 p.m., and generally start with a kids movie followed by a Summery blockbuster.
