Must Try Organization Tips For Spring!

Ahh, finally spring! It was a long, cold, and raw winter for sure.  Thankfully I think the 20 some odd degree days are long gone and we can all spend more time enjoying the outdoors and warmer temps!

Spring not only brings longer and warmer days, but deep cleaning and reorganizing tasks that we all dread, but MUST complete. Have no fear though, we only offer “solutions that simplify” because let’s face it, we’re all running a mile a minute and often don’t have the time that it takes to complete these mundane tasks.

Check out some of my simple organization tips you must try this spring!

When in doubt add a shelf -

If you're tired of having piles upon piles of stuff in areas like the laundry room or even a home office, then add shelving! We love this shelf from Ikea because it's foldable and minimalistic. So for rooms like the laundry room where you'd die to have a folding station, well now you have it! Also great for any other room in your home to store jars, books, the list can go on.

Bins and baskets galore -

Meet your new bestie. A bin or basket, preferably labeled, is the best solution to simplify. Kids toys, cleaning products, BBQ party supplies, really ANYTHING can be put in a bin or basket. And voila!, your home magically looks and feels a thousand times cleaner and less cluttered. The Container Store and Target offer excellent options to suit any style! Check out some options here.

New use for a tension rod -

We hear your kitchen cabinets are constantly messy leaving you aggravated and not able to find the right lid for each pan and vice versa. A common annoyance in the kitchen! Purchase a tension rod (can be found at Target) and position in a drawer or cabinet to create a divider. Pots and pans belong on the larger side and the lids belong on the other!

Use a pegboard to store sports equipment and tools -

Your garage will unfortunately now become your spring and summer "dumping zone" so why not use a pegboard (or several) to house all outdoor gear and/or tools?!  We LOVE this solution. By using a pegboard, you keep almost everything off the garage floor thus creating a cleaner and more organized space. Besides, getting in and out of your car with lacrosse sticks and power tools outlining your pathway is certainly not ideal.
