The Advent School
The Advent School offers education for students in pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade and was founded in 1961. The curriculum here features an emphasis on project-based, collaborative learning experiences and there are two teachers in each classroom. In 2011, the school expanded its facilities to 99 West Cedar Street to support the growth of their programs including music, art, science and Spanish. The school offers an after-school enrichment program that includes outdoor, cooking and craft activities as well as music and language lessons.
The Advent School is a non-sectarian, independent school. It is accredited by the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE). Tuition hereranges from $21,200 to $21,700 for the 2012-2013 academic year. Financial Aid grants are available for families with demonstrated need.
